Since the trains are 100 km apart, and the trains are travelling towards each other at 40 and 60 km/hr, the trains will collide in one hour. The bird must be flying at 90 k/hr during this time, so the bird travels 90 km.

Q14. Parameshwaran invested an amount of Rs 12000 at the simple interest rate of 10 percent annum and another amount at the simple interest rate of 20 percent per annum. The total interest earned at the end of one year on the total amount invested became 14 percent per annum. Find the total amount invested.
