                                             ANSWERS

Number of girls =3/5×2500=1500
Number of boys =2/5×2500=1000
Number of boys taking sanskrit only =20/100×1000=200
Number of girls taking biology, chemistry and english only =25/100×1500=375
Number of boys taking physics only =26.8/100×1000=268
Number of girls taking sanskrit only =175/100×200=350
Number of boys taking maths, biology and english only =25.7/100×1000=257
Number of girls taking chemistry only =1/4×1500=375
Number of girls taking hindi only =12/11×275=300
Number of girls taking physics and maths only
= 1500 – (375 + 350 + 375 + 300) = 1500 – 1400 = 100
Number of boys take hindi only = 1000 – (200 + 268 + 257) = 1000 – 725 = 275

1. Number of students taking more than one subject = 375 + 257 + 100 = 732

2. Number of students taking maths = 257 + 100 = 357
    Hence, required percentage = (357/2500)×100 = 14.28%

3. Required ratio = 275∶(375×2)=11:30.

4. Required ratio = 300 : 350 = 6 : 7

5.
Number of students taking biology = 257 + 375 = 632
    Hence, required percentage = (632/1500)×100 = 42.14%

6. B

7. E

8. C

9. C

10. D
