After paying to charity, A’s share = Rs. 95 x 3/5 = Rs. 57.
If A’s share is Rs. 57, total profit = Rs. 100.
If A’s share Rs. 855, total profit =(100/57) x 855 = 1500.

A.Rs.1800
B.Rs.2200
C.Rs.1200
D.Rs.1500

Sol. let total profit =x
ashok’s share in profit is (1/10)x
remaining profit = x= (1/10)x= (9/10)x
pramod’s share= 1/3 x (9/10)x = (3/10 )x
Prakash’s share= 2/3 x (9/10)x = (6/10)x
ashok – prakash= (6/10)x -(1/10)x = (5/10)x
5/10 x = 2,000 so, x= 4000
pramod’s share= (3/10) x 4000 = 1200.

3. A and B established a firm together. A’s investment was thrice that of B’s. A also kept the investment for twice as much time as B. If B got a profit of 4000, what was the total profit?

A.30,000

C.40,000
D.45,000

Sol. let B’s investment= X then A’s investment= 3X
lets time for B = t then,A’s time= 2t
A:B
3X x 3t : X x t
6:1
B’s share= 1/7 x total = 4000
total=28,000.

4. In a business P and R invested amounts in the ratio 2 : 3 whereas the ratio between amount invested by P and Q was 4:2. If 2,20,500 was their profit.How much amount did R receive ?

A.1,10,250
B.1,10,000
C.1,10,200
D.1,10,150
E.None of these

Sol. P : Q = 4 : 2=> Q : P = 2 : 4
P : R = 2 : 3=> 4 : 6
P : Q : R =4 : 2 : 6
R share = (6/12)×2,20,500 =  1,10,250.

5. A ,B and C started a business with an invested amount 66,000, 72,000 and 90,000.At the end of 1 year the profit is distributed among them.If B receive profit as 22,000 then what will be the total profit ?

A)69,600
B)69,666.66
C)69,666
D)69,500.66
E)None of these

Sol. 66:72:90 => 11 : 12 : 15

Sol. 10×a : 8×b ; 7×c  = 5 : 7: 8
10a/8b = 5/7 =>  b = 7/5 a
10a/7c = 5/8  => c = 16/7a
a:b:c = a:7/5a:16/7a = 28a:49a:64a => 28:49:64

Remaining= 7400-370= Rs.7030
Ratio of investments: 6500*6 : 8400*5 : 10000*3
Ratio= 13:14:10, Share of C= (10/37)*7030=Rs.1900

A. 2200
B. 2600
C. 3300
D. 2400
E. None of these

Sol. x*5*1/100 = y*5*2/100 = z*5*3/100
x:y:z = 5:10:15 = 1:2:3
The share of C is more than that of A by = 2/6 * 6600 = 2200.
