Directions (6-10): Study the information given below and answer the given questions.
N, O, K, L, M, Y, X, R and S nine students who are pursuing MBA live on the different floor of a hostel but not necessarily in the same order. The Hostel has nine floors and only one person stays on one floor. All of them likes different topic of their course, i.e. Economics, Marketing, Leadership, Finance, Accounts, Management, Banking, Balance sheet and Entrepreneurship, but not necessarily in the same order. The ground floor is numbered 1, the floor above it is numbered 2, and so on, and the topmost floor is numbered 9. Each of them lives on different number room from 1 to 9.
R likes Finance and stays on an even-numbered floor. N stays on any even-numbered floor below the floor on which R stays. There are only two persons who have consecutive room numbers and stays on the floor immediately next to each other. The one who likes Balance sheet stays on the fourth floor. The one who stays on top floor is living on an even numbered room. The floor number of Y is the same as the room number of K. M stays on the second floor and likes Leadership. The one who likes Entrepreneurship stays on the third floor. N does not like Management. There are only four persons staying between the one who likes Accounts and the one who likes Marketing. There are two floors between the floors on which the persons who like Banking and Finance stay. K likes Marketing. There are three floors between the floors on which K and X stay. The room number of M is the same as the floor number of the one living immediately above him. S lives room no. 6 and N lives room no. 9 and the one having same room and floor number does not stay between them. L stays on a floor immediately above S’s floor. Only one person has the same floor number and room number and he does not stay on an odd numbered floor. There is one floor between the floors on which Y and X stay. Y does not like Entrepreneurship. The one who likes Economics stays on the topmost floor. Y does not stay on the ground floor. Room number of O is greater than both X and L.

Directions (11-15): Study the given information and answer the questions:
When a word and number arrangement machine is given an input line of words and numbers, it arranges them following a particular rule. The following is an illustration of input and its rearrangement.
Input: curfew 16 was 28 imposed 11 as 23 measure 37 to 32
Step I: as curfew 16 was 28 imposed 23 measure 37 to 32 12
Step II: curfew as 16 was 28 imposed measure 37 to 32 12 24
Step III: imposed curfew as 16 was 28 measure to 32 12 24 38
Step IV: measure imposed curfew as was 28 to 32 12 24 38 15
Step V: to measure imposed curfew as was 32 12 24 38 15 27
Step VI: was to measure imposed curfew as 12 24 38 15 2731
Step VI is the last step of the above arrangement as the intended arrangement is obtained.
As per the rules follow in the given steps find out the appropriate steps for the given input.
Input: has 13 been 19 on 26 the 38 end 29 since 42

Q11. In which of the following step the element ‘end been 14’ has been found in the same order?
(a) Step I
(b) Step IV
(c) Step V
(d) Step II
(e) Step VI

Q12. What is difference between the element which is third from right end in Step VI and the one which is third from left end in Step I?
(a) 6
(b) 7
(c) 8
(d) 9
(e) None of these

Q13. In step V, ‘since’ is related to ‘37’ and in Step III ‘has’ is related to ‘30’. In the same way in Step II ‘end’ is related to?
(a) 39
(b) 20
(c) 14
(d) 42
(e) 26

Q14. Which element is exactly between ‘been’ and ‘42’ in the second last step of the given arrangement?
(a) 20
(b) 37
(c) end
(d) the
(e) None of these

Q15. Which of the following is the fourth step of the arrangement based on the given input?
(a) on has end been the 38 since 42 14 20 2530
(b) on end been has the 38 since 42 14 20 30 25
(c) on has end been 42 the 38 since 14 20 30 25
(d) on has end been the 38 since 42 14 20 30 25
(e) None of these

Solution(11-15):  Students let us understand the Logic behind this Question and let’s understand how to solve it. When we see the each step, then we can find that there is both number and words are arranged in each step.
a) For words arrangement- Words are arranged in ascending order from left to right.
b) For numbers arrangement- There are three even numbers and three odd numbers. Odd number are arranged in first three step in ascending order from right to left(Each odd number is added by one while they are arranged). And from step IV to VI , even numbers are arranged from right to left(One is subtracted by each even number while they are arranged).
  Input:   has 13 been 19 on 26 the 38 end 29 since 42
      Step I:  been has 19 on 26 the 38 end 29 since 42 14
     Step II:  end been has on 26 the 38 29 since 42 14 20
   Step III:  has end been on 26 the 38 since 42 14 20 30
   Step IV:  on has end been the 38 since 42 14 20 30 25
    Step V:  since on has end been the 42 14 20 30 25 37
   Step VI: the since on has end been 14 20 30 25 37 41
