1. Lets assume money invested by B and C are 3x and 5x respectively.
Now as B invested additional 1 lakh rupees, thus = (3x+1) lakhs
Also given, is that boh invested equal amounts, thus,
(3x+1) = 5x
x = 0.5 lakhs
Therefore, money invested by B is = (3*0.5 + 1) = 2.5 lakhs.
2. Total amount invested by B and C = (2.5 + 2.5) = 5 lakhs.
Now its given that total revenue generated is 20% of amount invested, thus,
= (20/100)*5
= 1 lakh
Also given is that ratio of revenues of apples:oranges is 4:1, thus,
Revenue generated by apples = (4/5)*1 = Rs 80,000
3. Revenue generated by oranges = (1/5)*1 = Rs 20,000
Now its given that for Rs 5 you get 1 orange, so for Rs 20,000, we will get,
= (1/5)*20000 = 400 oranges.
4. Revenue generated from apples = Rs 80,000
Total number of apple trees = 200
Revenue generated per apple tree,
= 80000/200 = Rs 400.
5. Revenue generated by oranges = Rs 20,000
Number of orange trees = 200/5 = 40. ( as ratio of apple trees: orange trees is 5:1)
Revenue generated per orange tree,
= 20000/40 = Rs 5000
