Dear Aspirants, The Most awaited IPPB PO Mains exam is over, Now it's time for exam analysis of IPPB PO mains. A lot of students have appeared for their mains exam today and this brings them to a step closer in their journey of getting a Job in Banking Sector. Without wasting any moment, let's get straight to the analysis For which you are all waiting for. This pattern of this exam was quite similar to IBPS PO Mains 2016 exam.


There are 5 Sections in IPPB PO mains exam namely English, Reasoning, Computer awareness, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude. Overall the examination was of Moderate-Difficult level.

QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE (Difficult)

The level of quantitative aptitude was difficult. There were four sets of DI and they were very calculative. It included Pie Chart, Missing DI, Caselete, Tabular DI with Distance of train.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE (MODERATE - DIFFICULT)

There were two reading comprehensions based on economy of china and another was based on banking. There were also sentence fillers.

REASONING ABILITY (MODERATE-DIFFICULT)

The level of reasoning was moderate to difficult. Among puzzles and seating arrangement there was a circular seating arrangement with blood relation, parallel seating arrangement (north-south) with blood relation and a floor puzzle.

GENERAL AWARENESS (Easy-Moderate)

General Awareness was moderate. This section is quite easy for those who knows banking terms.  The questions were mainly asked from Banking, Static and Current affairs. Around 10 questions were related to India Post Payments Bank and 5-6 were from Static Awareness.

COMPUTER AWARENESS (Difficult)

Computer Awareness was quite difficult. There were 20 questions in this sections. The pattern was very similar to IBPS PO Mains 2016 Examination. The questions were mainly from history and generations.
